Student Visa Requirements
To study in Italy, international students must meet the following visa requirements:
Completed Application Form: A fully completed and signed visa application form.
Passport-Size Photograph: One recent photograph with a white background.
Valid Passport or Travel Document:
Issued within the last 10 years.
Valid for at least 3 months beyond your intended stay.
Has at least 2 blank pages.
Include one set of photocopies of the passport.
Educational Certificates:
Duly legalized by the Consular office of the Italian Embassy, unless advised otherwise by the local institution or school.
Education certificates duly apostilled by the Ministry of External Affairs.
Enrollment Acceptance: Acceptance letter from the Italian school or institution, indicating the duration of the course.
Tuition Fee Receipt: Proof of full payment of tuition fees, if required.
Proof of Financial Means:
University or Post-Graduate Courses: Proof of means of support in Italy, which should not be less than 350.57 Euros for each month of the academic year. This can be demonstrated through bank statements, bank loans, or other financial means.
Scholarships from the Italian Government: Original proof of the scholarship.
Non-University Courses: Adequate financial guarantees as specified in the annexed table, which can be proven through bank guarantees or other financial means.
Accommodation Proof: Adequate proof of boarding and lodging, if required.
Return Flight Ticket: A return flight ticket or booking, especially for courses lasting up to 90 days.
Health Insurance: Insurance coverage for medical treatment and/or hospitalization, unless your Italian university provides this. If your university covers this, it should be mentioned in the letter of admission.
Additional Requirements for Long-Term Visas: If the visa requested is for more than 90 days, ensure your original admission letter is stapled with your passport and duly stamped by the Embassy.
